DAY 1: NAIROBI-OLD MOSE HUT
Pickup from Nairobi will be done early morning then drive to Sirimon through the Nanyuki highland and have lunch enroute. Proceed to Sirimon park gate and the trek begins from here. The trek will cover about 9 km till the Old Moses Hut and have dinner and then spend the night there.
DAY 2: OLD MOSES HUT-SHIPTON HUT
After breakfast have the trek passing through the Ontulili valley, Liki valley and the Mackinder valley enjoying the sudden changes of vegetation and of its inhabitants. Arrive at the Shipton Hut early afternoon. Dinner and overnight at the hut.
DAY 3: SHIPTON HUT-SHIPTON HUT
The day will be spent at the hut then later on there will be an acclimatization hike to Hausberg to familiarize with the place then descend to the hut to get set for the next day as you will reach the summit and for dinner and overnight.
DAY 4: SHIPTON-LENANA POINT-SHIPTON-OLD MOSES HUT
Start off the trekking at around 2:30am to Lenana point passing through Austrian Hut. Have the extra ordinary sensational feeling of the changing attitudes as approaching the 3rd highest point of the mountain and only one that can be reached by trekking. Lenana which is 4,985M above sea level will be reached at sunrise at around 6:30 am. Take photos from the point and on a clear day you will be able to view Mount Kilimanjaro and the smashing view of the great Indian Ocean. Later on descend to Shipton Hut for breakfast and then thereafter descend to old Moses Hut for dinner and overnight.
DAY 5: OLD MOSES HUT-SIRIMON GATE-NAIROBI
Have breakfast from the hut then drive to Sirimon gate and then finally back to Nairobi. You will have lunch enroute to Nairobi and after arrival to Nairobi, be dropped at your respective places either the hotel or at the airport.
